La casa del maestro è il vostro B&B, sito nel paesaggio incontaminato di Valleluce nel comune di S.Elia Fiumerapido, nelle vicinanze di Montecassino.
Le origini di Valleluce, risalgono al I° secolo a.C. Dopo le distruzioni barbariche, sui ruderi della villa romana, nel 798, l'Abate di Montecassino Gisulfo, fece costruire
la prima "Cella". Nel 979 l'Abate Aligerno, concesse il piccolo monastero a S.Nilo, che officiava in rito greco-bizantino, con 60 confratelli. Il Santo vi rimase per 15 anni, per poi trasferirsi a Grottaferrata, dove il suo discepolo Bartolomeo edificò il maestoso monastero.
Presso le sorgenti di Bagnaturo, in buono stato di conservazione sono rimasti i resti archeologici dell'antico Acquedotto Romano, che forniva l'acqua potabile all'antico Casinum. Durante il secondo conflitto mondiale, sul nostro territorio viene costruita la famosa "Linea Gustav", sul crinale di Cifalco e nella località Vaccarecce sono rimasti numerosi bunker tedeschi in buono stato di conservazione.
Nel piccolo borgo, si assaporano i prodotti tipici locali e si apprezza l'ospitalità degli abienti. Nella Casa del Maestro vi è una biblioteca privata, raccolta con diligenza dal maestro Sabatino Di Cicco, che sarà una disponibile guida per Valleluce e per i dintorni, dove potete fare un'autentica full-immersion culturale, infarcita di aneddoti e racconti popolari di tradizioni ancestrali.
The Teacher’s House Bed and Breackfast is situated among the uncontaminated scenery of Valleluce ( part of the township of S.Elia Fiumerapido) near to Montecassino.
The origins of Valleluce date back to the 1st century B.C.
In 798, after ist barbaric destruction, Abbot Gisulfo of Montecassino ordered the first Cell (the little monastey of Saint Angelo in Valleluce) to be built on top of the ruins of the Roman villa.
In 979, Abbot Aligerno bestowed the little monastery on Saint Nilo who remainened there for 15 years whit 60 brethren following Greek Biyzantine rites, afterwards transferring to Grottaferrata where his disciple, Bartolomeo, was to build the magnificent monastery.
Near the head of the river (Bagnaturo), can be found the well-preserved archaeological remains of the ancient Roman Acqueduct which supplied drinking water to the ancient town of Casinum.
During the 2nd World War, the famous “Gustav Line” was built in this area along the ridge of Mt. Cifalco and in the vaccarecce area there are still to be found numerous well-preserved German bunkers.
In the village you can enjoy typical local produce along with the hospitallity of the local people.
In The Teacher’s House there is a private book collection that has been gathered with great devotion by the retired schoolteacher, Sabatino Di Cicco, who is available as a guide to Valleluce and the surrounding area where you will be able to experience an authentic cultural full-immersion complete with anecdotes and folk tales concerning local traditions.

Valleluce dont les origines remontent au 1 siécle avant J.C. . Aprés les invasions barbares il a été reconstruit par l’Abbé de Montecassino Gisulfo de la famille ducale Longobarde et cédé en 979 par l’Abbé Aligerno à St Nilo. Pére supérieur de 60 moines Gréco-Basiliens qui y demeureront 15 ans, il se rendra ensuite à Grottaferrata où son disciple St Basile fondera la célebre Abbaye.
Mr. Sabatino Di Cicco( Pédagogue, archéologue et écrivain), vous accompagnera et vous guidera à la découverte historique de ce petit bourg (Acqueduc romain, fortifications pour la “ligne Gustav” etc…), sans oublier sa bibliothèque priveé, pour vous conduire dans une veritable “full immersion” culturelle et sur les traditions populaires.
Das “Casa del Maestro”(“Das Meisterhaus”) ist Ihr “Bed & Breakfast”, in der unberührten Landschaft von Valleluce ( “Tal des lichtes”) , ein historisches Tal bei “Sant’Elia Fiumerapido” (“Heiliger Elias, schneller Fluß”), nicht weit entfernt von der berühmten Abtei von Monte Cassino, woher auch der heilige Benedikt, der “Patron “ Europas, stammte.
“Valleluce” geschicte ist bis zum.I Jahrhunder vor Christus zuruck zu verfolgen-nach der Völkerwanderung wurde das Dorf, dank Montecassino Abt Gisulfo, aus der langobardischen herzogsfamilie, komplett neu herrichtet.
Der Abt Aligerno vermachte im Jahr 979 die Valleluce Abtei an den späteren Heiligen Nilo. Dieser zog mit 60 griechisch-basilikanischen Mönchen ein und blieb 15 Jahren vor Ort, um dann nach Grottaferrata zu seinen Apostel, der späteren Heiligen Basilio, zu gehen, der dort die Abtei “La gemma orientale” (Edelstein des Orients”) gründete, wo heute noch das griechisch-basilikanische Ritual praktiziert wird.
Romanische Mauern und die ehemaligen deutschen Bunker der Gustav Linie verleihen dem historischen Or teine typische und einmalige Ambiente, hinzu kommen die leckeren Dorf Spezialitäten und die unverwechselbare Gastfreundlichkeit.
In dem “Casa del Maestro” finden sie noch eine “biblioteca privata”( private Bücherei”), die mit viel Liebe zum Detail vom Besitzer, cav.Sabatino Di Cicco. Schriftsteller, Gelehrter, Archeolog und Pedagog, zusammengestellt wurde.
In der “biblioteca” können sie eine wahre “Full-immersion” erleben und sich zusätzlich von Sagen und alten geschichten faszinieren lassen.
